Welcome to SURGE Basketball

( DEVELOP • COMPETE • BELONG )

Surge Basketball is a registered, for-profit basketball club located in Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada. What began as a girls-only organization with a single team has grown into a competitive basketball program with multiple girls’ and boys’ teams competing across the province and throughout Canada.

At Surge Basketball, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where athletes can develop, compete, and grow. Our programming is built around high-level coaching, competitive opportunities, and individualized player development designed to help each athlete reach their full potential.

At Surge - We believe in developing more than basketball players. Through a strong culture focusing on character, commitment, and community; we aim to help our athletes build confidence, develop as teammates and leaders, and represent Surge with pride both on and off the court.

SURGE:
"a sudden, powerful forward or upward movement.”

The word "Surge" represents who we are and what we want for every athlete who becomes part of our program: to grow, to be challenged, and to keep moving forward.

At Surge Basketball, our mission is to empower athletes to reach their full potential through high-quality coaching, individualized development, and meaningful competitive opportunities. We strive to create experiences that build confidence, foster a love of the game, and leave a lasting impact both on and off the court.

We are committed to building a strong and inclusive basketball community where every athlete feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Beyond developing basketball skills, we emphasize character, commitment, and community—helping athletes grow not only as players, but as teammates, leaders, and people.

Our Surge Family

More Than Basketball

At Surge, we empower our players to reach their full potential and become the best versions of themselves both on and off the court.

Giving back is at the heart of who we are. Through volunteer initiatives such as feeding those in need and collecting donations for local food banks, we teach our players the importance of community service while fostering a culture of gratitude and generosity.

Join the Surge community today and be part of something bigger than the game.

Meet Our Sponsors

Our Gold Sponsor, GFL, generously supports our club each year, helping us keep our program as affordable as possible for families.

This year, our Surge Elite team was also proudly sponsored by A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections and Victory Advanced Technologies. Their support made it possible for our Elite team to travel to Ontario and Quebec to compete in two high-level tournaments.
